Karl Maier was founded in 1925 and presents itself today as an innovative and dynamic company with about 180 employees. The injection moulding technique, established in 1961, has been expanded constantly in the last decades and has been adapted to the continually increasing requirements. Companies from various lines of business all over the world make a profit from our forty years of experience in this domain. Especially in the fields car manufacture, machine construction and electrical engineering we count many well-known companies among our customers.

According to your wishes and ideas our project engineers develop for you low-priced complete solutions in plastic with optimised functions and for various application areas. One of our strongest points is the fact that we accompany you throughout the whole project, from the conception of the idea until the product is ready to be installed. We are thus offering you a universal concept beginning with the component development and the prototype production up to manufacturing high-capacity tools in our own mould making division. Furthermore this concept is permanently kept under surveillance with regard to the schedule.

Our technical manufacturing equipment is exemplary. On our injection moulding machines of the most recent generation we process all common thermoplasts up to a single weight of 2.500 g. That means we are disposing of manufacturing machines with a locking pressure up to a size of 80.000 kN. All machine data are kept under online-surveillance by means of most modern computers, which enables us to inform our customers to the second about the production state. Since 1997 our house disposes of the certifications DIN ISO 9001, VDA 6.1 and QS 9000. We are thus assuring a constant quality level. In 2003 we obtained the certification acc. to DIN ISO/TS16949.

By using a wide spectre of about 90 high-capacity working lathes of most different types as well as a great number of processing machines and special machines we are producing quality of highest level in the range 5 – 65 mm ?. Apart from modern single-spindle and multiple-spindle automatic lathes our machinery equally comprises indexing table type machines.

The constant further education of our employees, the high flexibility of our production machines, our competence with regard to problems that occur at short notice and the strict observance of schedules have been for decades a characteristic property of our house.
